PRESENTATION

The flamenco trio La Espora, composed of Sarah Bronsard (dance), Alexandra Templier (vocals) and "Quique" Henry Garf (guitar), presents the show Toca.

Created in the fall of 2023, following the invitation from the City of Boisbriand to present a small form as part of the 2023 Culture Days, Toca received such an enthusiastic reception from the public that the members of La Espora decided to perpetuate this project, which is both powerful and accessible.

A verb evoking touch, sound and play, Toca invites you to a moment of sensitive listening where softness and strength coexist in an almost epidermal attention. The show follows the traditional form of flamenco "tablao" by mixing structure and improvisation in order to promote a participatory experience, with tangible intensity both on stage and in the audience. Toca offers a vibrant listening moment combining intensity, softness, strength and sensitivity.

Collaborating in various projects sometimes far from tradition, the three friends of La Espora come together here to explore their common love of the flamenco language. In Toca, their intensity of presence, the rigorous mastery of their art, their contagious complicity and their great sensitivity to the present moment combine to highlight the richness and versatility of their multidisciplinary paths in the service of flamenco.
