PRESENTATION

En attendant le pick-up offers, for the first time in the artistic career of Sarah Bronsard, the encounter between two percussive dances: flamenco and Quebecois step dancing. Linked by this expressive engine that is rhythm, Sarah Bronsard and Nancy Gloutnez explore what lifts them up, transports them and leaves them there, on the lookout, En attendant le pick-up. It is also the meeting of two crossed paths of life: drafts of mother-artists perched on four feet who mark time, fill it and listen to it. Textures, ornaments and silence, in suspension. Two women on stage who juggle, sometimes in a precarious balance, with all the roles they try to play: artists, lovers, researchers, single mothers, friends. They try to stay as close as possible to the center of this whirlwind in order to feel where their next step should take place. A time of shared listening, in this fragile, strong and complex humanity.

The premiere of En attendant le pick-up by Tangente in December 2015 was accompanied by the remixes of the pieces Les Mioles (created by Nancy Gloutnez and remixed by Sarah Bronsard) and Ce qui émerge après (4kg) (created by Sarah Bronsard remixed by Nancy Gloutnez).
